Yes. Sensium is Australian-owned, and its TRACKbox hardware is Australian-Made certified. Founded in New Zealand in 2005, headquartered in Brisbane since 2011, with offices in both countries. Sensium sits on the Local Government Procurement Fleet Management Services panel for the AU council sector.

Yes. TRACKbox 4 combines 4G cellular and Direct-to-Cell satellite, ready to fail over automatically where the service is available. Direct-to-Cell is live in New Zealand and rolling out in Australia where supported by network availability and plan configuration, with Iridium satellite available for remote Australian coverage today. Critical for utility, mining, and agricultural fleets working past the cellular network.

Geotab is Canadian. Sensium is Australian. The structural difference shows up in three places: hardware origin (Australian-Made certified vs imported), firmware turnaround (custom features in days vs quarters), and data sovereignty (Australian customer data on Australian servers, not just regional hosting under foreign ownership).

Teletrac Navman is owned by Fortive (US). Sensium is Australian-owned. Teletrac Navman is strong on heavy-vehicle compliance (TCA-certified for NHVR EWD); Sensium is not currently TCA-certified, but covers tracking, telemetry, video, and software for most light commercial, council, and government fleet operations end-to-end.

Powerfleet is US-owned and the parent of both MiX Telematics and Fleet Complete after 2024 acquisitions. The post-acquisition consolidation is still working through their product lines. Sensium is Australian-owned with a single coherent platform built in-house.

Yes. Sensium sits on the Local Government Procurement Fleet Management Services panel and can be engaged by Australian councils via the standard panel RFQ process.

All customer data - Australian and New Zealand - is hosted on Australian servers. Encrypted in transit and at rest. Role-based access control. Audit logs satisfy procurement scrutiny.

We engage on specific certification requirements per RFQ and per customer requirement. The architecture is designed to satisfy ASD Essential Eight / ISM-aligned controls, with audit logs that meet government procurement-grade reporting requirements.

Yes. Sensium Connect+ includes the multi-tenancy, cost-centre awareness, cross-department permissions, and RFID handover primitives that make cross-agency sharing operationally viable, so a vehicle can be booked, tracked, and billed back to the right team across organisational boundaries.

Per-active-vehicle pricing on the software side (Sensium Connect+). Hardware (TRACKbox) is priced separately per unit. Core Connect+ software modules are included; hardware, accessories, monitoring and specialist integrations are quoted as required. For a fleet of 20-200 vehicles, typical implementations run six to twelve weeks. Hardware install schedule (TRACKbox per vehicle) is usually the longest-lead line item. Software configuration runs in parallel. Larger or multi-region deployments stage over multiple quarters.
