How Sensium collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information.

Last updated: 2 June 2026

Sensium ("Sensium", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information when you visit our website or engage with us. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, where applicable, the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

This policy covers visitors to our website and people who contact us. If you are a Sensium customer, the fleet and telematics data processed through Sensium Connect is governed by the separate agreement between Sensium and your organisation.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you contact us, request a demo, ask for a quote, subscribe to updates, or otherwise communicate with us, we collect the personal information you provide. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, organisation or company, and the content of your enquiry.

Information we collect automatically

When you browse our website, we may automatically receive technical information such as your device's internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, operating system, referring pages, and how you interact with the site. We use this to understand how our website is used and to improve it.

2. How we use your information

We use the personal information we collect to:

  • respond to your enquiries and provide the information, demonstrations, or services you request;
  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services;
  • send you updates or marketing communications about Sensium where you have consented (you can opt out at any time);
  • meet our legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

3. Consent

How do you get my consent?

When you provide personal information so we can respond to an enquiry, arrange a demo, or otherwise assist you, we take it that you consent to us collecting and using that information for that purpose. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, such as marketing, we will either ask for your express consent or give you an opportunity to decline.

How do I withdraw my consent?

If you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, or for the continued collection, use, or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting us at support@sensium.com.au.

4. Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose your personal information to trusted service providers who help us operate our website and business (see "Third-party services" below), to our professional advisers, in connection with a business sale or restructure, or where we are required or authorised to do so by law.

5. Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party providers to deliver our website and communications, such as website hosting, email delivery, and website analytics. In general, these providers will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to perform the services they provide to us.

Some providers may be located in, or hold data in, a jurisdiction different from yours. Where that is the case, your information may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with. When you click a link that takes you away from our website, this policy no longer applies and we are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites.

6. Data storage and security

We take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practice to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Information is encrypted in transit using industry-standard transport security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to keep it only for as long as we need it.

Sensium hosts Australian customer data in Australia. New Zealand data residency is confirmed per customer contract.

7. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality and to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not function as intended if you do.

8. Age of consent

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state, territory, or country of residence.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time, so please review it periodically. Changes take effect when they are posted on this page. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
