TRACKbox TB3 is Sensium's purpose-built tracker for non-powered and mobile assets — trailers, skid bins, generators, towed plant, marine equipment, anything mobile that doesn't have its own 12V supply. Self-contained, battery-powered, sealed for outdoor exposure. Designed and manufactured in Australia.

TB2 is for powered vehicles — it hard-wires into the vehicle's 12V electrical system. TB3 is for everything that doesn't have a 12V supply — non-powered assets that get towed, moved, parked, or left in the field. Both run the same firmware and report into the same Sensium Connect+ dashboard, so a fleet that mixes powered vehicles and non-powered assets manages them as a single fleet.

TB3 has mounting tabs at each corner with through-holes that accept screws or strapping. Standard install is bolted into a protected position on the asset (inside a chassis box on a trailer, on a frame member on a skid, inside a cabinet on a generator). The unit is sealed against weather, dust and ingress so it can be deployed in fully exposed positions where required.

Deliberate product family distinction. The colour change makes it visually obvious in a mixed deployment which devices are on powered vehicles (black TB2/TB4) and which are on non-powered assets (white TB3). Practically useful for install techs and asset audits, and the white UV-stable plastic is also better for assets that sit in long-term outdoor exposure.

Trailers, plant equipment, mobile generators, skid bins, water carts, light towers, towed compressors, marine equipment, off-road / non-registered equipment, irrigation pumps, agricultural implements — the asset class is "things the fleet owns and needs to track but that don't drive themselves anywhere."

TB3 is self-contained and battery-powered, with its reporting cadence tuned for long standalone operation. An asset can sit unmoved in a yard for months and still report position when it is picked up and towed. Exact runtime depends on the reporting cadence configured for the deployment, so talk to us about your specific asset profile and we will set it up accordingly.

TB3 reports over 4G LTE using enterprise-grade M2M connectivity on the Telstra network, with a physical M2M SIM. It uses a store-and-forward design, so if an asset is parked out of coverage the device records position locally and uploads the backlog once it is back in range. Connectivity is bundled by Sensium rather than managed as a separate line item.

TB3 carries a 3-year manufacturer's warranty. Like the rest of the TRACKbox family, it is designed and manufactured in Australia with firmware written in-house, so warranty and field support are handled directly rather than through an offshore OEM.

Yes. TB3 has a UV-stable matte plastic casing sealed against weather, dust, water ingress, and impact. It is designed to be installed in fully exposed positions - the underside of a trailer chassis, the outside of a generator cabinet, the deck of a marine asset - and survive years of outdoor exposure without intervention.

Yes. Because TB3 reports into the same Sensium Connect+ dashboard as TB2 and TB4, a non-powered asset can be placed on the live map, given a geofence with entry and exit alerts, and included in fleet reporting and data exports. TB3 turns a previously-invisible asset class into a live, reportable, geofenceable part of the fleet.
