What makes Connect+ different

Built for the org chart, not retrofitted for it.

Multi-tenancy + cost centres

Designed in from the start. Not bolted on.

Most enterprise fleet platforms started life as single-tenant tools and added multi-tenancy later. Connect+ was designed for the council org chart - multiple departments, multiple cost centres, cross-team booking - from the first line of code. The architectural decisions show up in how the platform reports your utilisation, attributes your cost, and exposes the right view to the right role.

Architectural primitives

  • Multi-tenant native
  • Cost-centre awareness on every booking
  • Cross-department permissions
  • Role-based access control
  • RFID handover integration
  • Audit logs to procurement-grade

Mixed-fleet capability

EV state-of-charge, depot charging status (which charger is busy, which is free, which is broken), ICE telematics, mixed-vehicle utilisation, and unified reporting all on one platform. Transition stages don't require platform migrations.

EV + ICE on one dashboard

Mixed fleets are the default, not the exception.

Public-sector and commercial fleets are transitioning to EV in stages. Connect+ does not split EV and ICE into separate products or contracts - mixed-fleet visibility, depot charging insight, state-of-charge monitoring, and ICE telematics all live on a single dashboard. Particularly relevant if your fleet is in the middle of the transition.

AI Auto-Select

The platform allocates the vehicle. Not the driver.

When a driver requests a vehicle, Connect+ evaluates real-time fleet data and assigns the most suitable match — based on availability, capacity, range, utilisation, lease restrictions, and operational policy. The result: the right vehicle every time, even utilisation across your fleet, and policy-aligned access to shared resources without manual gatekeeping.

What AI Auto-Select evaluates

  • Real-time vehicle availability
  • Range, capacity, and asset class
  • Utilisation balancing across the fleet
  • Lease restrictions and odometer limits
  • Cost centre and authorisation rules
Manual allocation is the most common source of fleet inefficiency — Auto-Select removes it without removing oversight.

What the scorecard measures

  • Speeding (against road and policy limits)
  • Harsh braking and acceleration
  • Harsh cornering
  • Per-driver and per-fleet trend reporting
  • Coaching-ready data exports
Driver behaviour drives a measurable portion of fleet operating cost — fuel, tyres, brakes, insurance. The scorecard makes it actionable.

Driver Scorecard

Real-time driver behaviour, scored and ranked.

The Driver Scorecard tracks speeding, harsh braking, harsh cornering, and other behavioural events in real time — turning telemetry into a safety and efficiency score per driver. You can identify high-risk drivers, reward safe behaviour, and target coaching where it materially reduces incident rates and operating cost.

Driver Connect

A separate app for drivers. Different access by design.

Driver Connect is the mobile-optimised app that drivers use day-to-day — for bookings, trip details, and approved vehicle interactions. It runs separately from the management and administrative interfaces, so your drivers see only what they need and management data stays governed. AI Auto-Select runs inside Driver Connect so vehicle allocation is policy-aligned at the point of booking.

Two surfaces, one platform

Sensium Connect+ (management)

Fleet, safety, and operations teams. Full visibility, controls, reporting.

Driver Connect (driver-facing)

Drivers only. Bookings, trip details, AI-allocated vehicles. Tightly governed.

Unattended Vehicle Hire

24/7 vehicle access. No staff on-site.

By combining telematics, remote vehicle access, and real-time monitoring, Connect+ enables secure unattended vehicle hire and access for approved users — supporting modern rental, pool vehicle, and community fleet models without requiring staff on-site. You manage vehicles remotely while maintaining full visibility, control, and auditability.

What unattended hire requires

  • Real-time vehicle location and status
  • Remote lock/unlock and enable/disable
  • Proactive battery and health monitoring
  • Permission-governed access
  • Per-vehicle activity audit logs
Used by rental operators, multi-location pool fleets, and community vehicle programmes that need 24/7 availability.

What ships with the API

  • GraphQL endpoint over HTTPS
  • Basic authentication
  • Interactive API explorer
  • API documentation and Python examples (GitHub)
  • Custom endpoint scoping per deployment
In-house engineering means custom integrations are built by the same team that owns the platform.

GraphQL API

The fleet data is yours. Pull it the way that suits.

Connect+ exposes a GraphQL API with basic authentication over HTTPS. Integrate your fleet data into route optimisation tools, fuel-card systems, asset management platforms, financial systems for cost-centre reconciliation, and back-to-base alerting infrastructure. Because Sensium builds the platform in-house, the technical team can also customise endpoints to match your integration requirements rather than referring change requests to an overseas OEM.

Frequently asked

Connect+ questions.

Question 01

What is Sensium Connect+?

Sensium Connect+ is the cloud fleet management software platform. It handles cost-centre reporting, cross-department pool booking with RFID handover, EV + ICE fleet visibility on a single dashboard, driver safety, video telematics review, and procurement-grade audit logs. Designed for councils, government, and commercial fleets across Australia and New Zealand.

Question 02

Is Connect+ modular or all-in?

Core Connect+ software modules are included on a per-active-vehicle basis. Hardware, accessories, monitoring and specialist integrations are quoted as required.

Question 03

How does Connect+ handle multi-department fleets?

Native multi-tenancy with cost-centre awareness. Cross-department permissions can be granted at the vehicle level, with bookings automatically billed back to the correct cost centre at handover.

Question 04

Where is Connect+ hosted?

All customer data - Australian and New Zealand - is hosted on Australian servers. Encrypted in transit and at rest. Role-based access control. Audit logs satisfy procurement scrutiny.

Question 05

What integrations does Connect+ support?

Connect+ exposes a GraphQL API with basic authentication over HTTPS. Integrate with route optimisation tools, fuel-card systems, asset management platforms, financial systems for cost-centre reconciliation, and back-to-base alerting infrastructure. API documentation, an interactive API explorer, and Python integration examples are available. Because Sensium builds the platform in-house, custom endpoints can be scoped per deployment.

Question 06

Does Connect+ support Single Sign-On (SSO)?

Yes. Role-based access controls combine with Single Sign-On so organisations can centrally manage user authentication while enforcing consistent security and access policies across fleets and teams.

Question 07

What is Driver Connect?

Driver Connect is the separate, driver-facing mobile app. It gives drivers controlled, task-specific access — bookings, trip details, AI-allocated vehicles — without exposing the broader fleet data and management controls that live in Sensium Connect+. Two surfaces, one platform, two access models.

Question 08

Can Connect+ manage a mixed EV and ICE fleet?

Yes. Connect+ gives visibility across electric and internal-combustion vehicles on a single dashboard, so a fleet transitioning to EVs does not need a second system. EV-aware pool booking with RFID handover sits alongside conventional vehicle management, which is useful for councils and government fleets running both during the transition.

Question 09

What reporting and alerts does Connect+ provide for driver safety?

Connect+ includes driver behaviour monitoring with driver scorecards and RAG (red-amber-green) reports, alongside dashboards and data export to CSV and PDF. Driver-behaviour insights such as harsh braking and after-hours use are reporting and scorecard features rather than real-time alerts. Geofencing does support entry and exit alerts at the boundary level.

Question 10

How does Connect+ handle authentication and security?

Connect+ supports Single Sign-On via Microsoft Entra ID, combined with role-based access control and audit logs, so organisations can centrally manage authentication and enforce consistent access policies. Data is hosted on Google Cloud Australian infrastructure - all customer data, Australian and New Zealand, on Australian servers - encrypted in transit and at rest, with 99.5%+ uptime.
